Week 2 is in the books and to be honest it was straight forward week pretty much. The Browns were efficient versus the Bengals, and Joe Burrow starred once again. The Rams beat the Eagles 37-19, the Cowboys added misery to Dann Quin after clawing back to beat the Falcons in epic fashion, the Buccaneers and the 49ers both scored 31 points in wins over the Panthers and Jets respectively. The Steelers outpaced the Broncos in scoring to win 26-21, as did the Titans in their 33-30 win over the Jaguars and the Bills who won 31-28. Aaron Rodgers was flawless versus the Lions and led his team well as they hung 42 over the Lions who only scored 21 points. Other fixtures ended Colts 28-11 Vikings, Cardinals 30-15 Washington, Ravens 33-16 Texans, and Chiefs 23-20.
It took a last play goal-line stand by the Seahawks to seal the 35-30 victory over the Patriots on Sunday Night Football, while a Darren Waller monstrous performance sealed a memorable Vegas stadium opening game in a 34-24 2in over the Saints.
Unanimous panel picks
The 49ers who have lost some key personnel on both sides of the ball are tipped to win against the Giants, as are the Eagles, Browns who face Washington and the Chargers over the Panthers.
NFL Week 3 Predictions
In Week 3 my team to watch will be the Steelers, after a five-point win over the Broncos they are facing the Texans in a game that is a must win for the Steelers who are looking to make a statement in the AFC. Deshaun Watson and his team will be motivated to avoid a 0-3 start which means they will be looking to put their best foot forward in this clash.
The game of the week, Seahawks v Cowboys. The Seahawks will be at home and their 12th man will be sorely missed that said it is hard to see a scenario in which Russell Wilson is stopped at home even against a Cowboys outfit full of talent but yet to get going. Very few people have the Cowboys winning this matchup, but it should be a close encounter between two very good teams looking to extend their winning streaks
Not a lot of surprises last week based on the panel’s record, what will this week bring?
