Fantasy Premier League Round-Up

I was signing up for PL Fantasy today, midway through the process the site that remembers my email address and password was asking me to pick which team I support for the fourth/fifth year in a row. So before I continue writing this, fans of other teams does the site ask you to pick your team to every year? I think this only applies to Arsenal fans as we may come back as Manchester City fans tired of the mediocrity that plagues Arsenal. I’m asking seriously, please respond in the comments.

So here are a few things that have changed since the end of last season, notably price changes and position changes. No, the £100m transfer budget hasn’t gone up, so sit back relax and let me catch you up.

Fantasy PL price changes
This is where Fantasy PL can be won and lost, in my book a good balance needs to be struck in a squad to make it work. And the numbers (£) are critical in that regard.

We start with two of Manchester City’s most consistent players last season, Kun Aguero and Raheem Sterling. They will set you back £12.0m each up from £11,0m. Another player whose price went up was joint top goal scorer Sadio Mane’s who will see players spend £11,5m his value is up by £1,0m from last season. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang will cost you £12,0m. There are some bargains too, it’s all not price hikes. For example Roberto Firmino and Kevin De Bruyne will be available for £9,5m and Jamie Vardy for a mouth-watering £9m. The Manchester United duo of Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford will cost just £8,5m.

In the absence of Eden Hazard and because of the ban on the Europa League holders Chelsea will turn to one of Olivier Giroud, Pedro, and Willian to deliver the goods. These three players come in at an interesting £7m each, I say interesting because they cost £0,5m more than David Brooks and £0,5m less than Ryan Fraser. Leicester’s versatile Perreira has had his value increased to £6,0m from last season’s £5,0m.

The biggest shock was a £1,5m drop in Harry Kane’s value who will be available to players for £11,0m.

Fantasy PL position changes
Many may feel this may be of little consequence to a player’s success, but hey it wouldn’t hurt to know who to slot in where I guess.

And they are as follows -:
Deulofeu £6,5m moves from midfield to forward
Jota £6,5m moves from midfield to forward
Maitland-Niles £5,0m moves from midfield to defense
Masauku £4,5m moves from midfield to defense
Perez £6,5m moves from forward to midfield
Rice £5,0m moves from defense to midfield
Ritchie £5,5m moves from midfield to defense
Schlupp £5,5m moves from defense to midfield
Zaha £7,0m moves from forward to midfield
Zinchenko £5,5m moves from midfield to defense

I generally suck at PL Fantasy and have better luck with the NFL & NBA Fantasy games, but this year I want to put on a consistent effort and see where I land.

Don’t forget to answer my question from up top!
